Talent Identification Program kicks off

The McDonalds Little Bula League kicks off this weekend around the country with under-13 and under-15 competitions.

Fiji FA Technical Director Timo Yankowski said this was a pilot project which would run for a month.

“We have set up ten centers around the country which includes Labasa, Seaqaqa, and Dreketi in the North while in the West we have Ba, Lautoka, Nadi, and Nadroga while in the southern division Rewa, Navua, and Suva.”

“We are starting with under 13 and under 15 grades and teams from each center will play along with each other in their respective zones,” said Yankowski

“The preparation has been going well and the kids are eagerly waiting to take the field.”

“All the centers are ready for the opener this Saturday.”

Yankowski said the objective was to develop talent in Fiji.

“There is huge talent here in Fiji and this will be a way to expose and develop them from the grassroots,”
