Tailevu Naitasiri remains in top Fijian League

Tailevu Naitasiri Football has survived in the top division after an impressive 4-0 win over Labasa in the final round of the Digicel Premier League at the Uprising Sports Center in Pacific Harbour on Sunday.

It was an important clash for the southerners and they were determined in the game that saw them thrashing the Punjas BOG champions.

The Nigel Khan-coached side meant business from the opening whistle and went on attack while Labasa, with nothing to lose, fielded most of its reserve players to give them game time.

Prashant Chand’s strike midway in the first spell separated the two sides at halftime.

Chand followed with the second goal early in the second half.

Solomon Islander Stephen Kwaitee and midfielder Abhishek Deo added two more goals to wrap up the season on a high note for the boys in Sky Blue colors.

Tailevu Naitasiri ends the competition in ninth spot with 14 points after 3 wins, 5 draws and 10 losses while Labasa finishes with 22 points after 6 wins, 4 draws and 8 losses.
