THE Tailevu Naitasiri football side continued its winning run in the Digicel Senior League.
The side defeated Tavua 3-1 in their last outing on Sunday at Ratu Cakobau Park ground 2 in Nausori.
Former Rewa rep Rusiate Qio scored the opener in the 13th minute of play after breaking through the Tavua defense.
Former Ba, Rewa and Nasinu rep Malaka Lavetia extended the lead in the 26th minute with a powerful header.
Tavua was reduced to ten men after Atunaisa Livanalagi was sent off due to double yellow cards.
Despite a man down Tavua came out firing in the second half with substitute Vinay Naidu getting the team back into the game in the 54th minute but it was to no avail when defender Abhishek Deo scored the final goal in the 87th minute.
The win puts Tailevu Naitasiri on equal points with Nasinu who is also with six points after two matches and are undefeated.
Both teams will meet next weekend which will be the top of the table clash at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
