Defending Digicel Fiji FACT champions Ram’s Cleaning Services Suva FC will host RC Manubhai Ba Fc in its opening group B match this Sunday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
President Ritesh Pratap said there was a lot of pressure as the defending champions.
“The pressure is on us as the defending champions and we understand it will not going to be an easy task to defend our title,” Pratap said
“We have been training well and our coaching panel is doing well to work on some of the weaknesses we have seen during the DPL.
“We have a very set of boys and I have faith in them,”
“Suva has been doing good in the DPL so far. We conceded some unwanted goals and that did affect our points because we had to go for draws.”
“We want to be consistence in our performance and we will take each match as it comes,” said Pratap
Pratap said they will not underestimate any team.
“We will not take any team lightly because they will all come out firing against us to break our unbeaten run this season,”
The Suva vs Ba match kicks off at 3pm.
The Babs Khan coach side will then play NZOTC Nasinu side at 3pm in its second match on Thursday, May 26 when the tournament proper kicks off at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
On Friday, May 27, Suva plays Tailevu Naitasiri at 12 midday and their final Group B match will be against host Nadroga on Sunday, May 29 at 6pm.
