Defending champions Suva Futsal successfully defended their crown after a commanding 3–0 victory over Tailevu Naitasiri Futsal in the Extra Futsal IDC 2025 Grand Final at the Vodafone Arena in Suva on Sunday.
The Capital City side were in complete control from the outset, combining experience and precision to dismantle a spirited Tailevu Naitasiri outfit.
Krishneel Singh opened the scoring in the 6th minute before Merrill Nand doubled the advantage in the 15th minute. Nikil Chand sealed the victory midway through the second half to secure Suva’s back-to-back IDC titles.
Suva walked away with $4,000 in prize money and a $500 shopping voucher from Extra Supermarket, while runners-up Tailevu Naitasiri Futsal received $1,000 and a $500 voucher.
Suva also dominated the tournament’s individual awards.
Filipe Baravilala claimed the Golden Ball Award for his outstanding leadership and creativity throughout the competition. At the same time, Kitione Baleloa took home the Golden Glove Award for his brilliant performances in goal.
The Golden Boot Award was shared between Krishneel Singh (Suva) and Abhishek Deo (Tailevu Naitasiri), who both finished the tournament with eight goals each, receiving $250 shopping vouchers from Extra Supermarket.
Despite the defeat, Tailevu Naitasiri’s run to their first-ever final was a highlight of the tournament, showcasing their growth, teamwork, and attacking flair through players like Abhishek Deo, Shifraaz Khan, and Neeraj Sharma.
Suva’s triumph cements their place as the undisputed force of Fijian futsal, lifting the Extra Futsal IDC Trophy for the second consecutive year and delighting their supporters with yet another flawless campaign.
