Suva resets focus

The Unique Rubber Stamp and Printery Suva side has moved its focus to the National Premier League.

After going down 1-2 against Labasa in the final leg of the 2020 Pillay Garments Champion vs Champion series coach Babs Khan says it is a wakeup call for the boys.

“Well we have seen our weakness in the two leg of the CVC and now our focus is on the National Premier League and to be successful this season we have to really work hard, “said Khan

“We need to get back to the drawing board now and look at our mistakes. The loss should be taken positively and we will try to prepare better for our match against Rewa and I want to urge the fans to keep supporting the team,” said Khan.

Khan said while it was a little disappointing to lose to the Babasiga Lions in the two match series, they will take the positives and build on their strengths.

“This is the first time in my coaching career that we have lost to Labasa. They could not beat us last year but came prepared differently this time around.”

“Congratulations to them and their new coach who has worked hard to build the winning team. They were more determined and hungry to win.”

“We had our share of chances. We did very well in the second half but were unfortunate to concede that late goal.”

“Winning two titles back to back and entering the new season is not an easy task. Ofcourse there was some pressure on us in the CVC.”

The Rewa vs Suva match is scheduled to be played at the ANZ Stadium.
