Suva president says’ this is just the start now’

Suva Football president Ritesh Pratap said winning the 2020 Vodafone Premier League title was just the beginning for him.

“I think this is just the start now after four years of my presidency this is my first title and I have done it from here and I think more are to come in future, “said Pratap

Pratap confirmed the prizemoney would be shared amongst the players.

“We will definitely share the prizemoney with our players because they have done the hard work and made us proud,”

“We will have our executive meeting and will decide how we going to celebrate our win,” said Pratap

“But for sure we will talk our sponsors and our supporter and for sure there will be a top up in the prizemoney of $18000,” said Pratap

The Smart & Efficient Security Services boss said their strength for success was the unity and hard work from players and officials.

“Our strength is the unity amongst the players and officials which was very good and from second last round of the matches we didn’t do much as the players took all the responsibilities which was the key for the success,”

“I thank the management of Flow Valves for sponsoring us this year and also to my dedicated executive members, players, families and not forgetting the fans.”

Pratap also acknowledged the support of his family.

“I will fail if I do not heartily thank my wife and my kids for always been on my side and supporting me and without them I would have not been successful in my life, “said Pratap

This after the Capital City side ended its six year drought in winning the VPL title with a draw against Nadi in their final match at ANZ Stadium in Suva on Sunday.

Suva has won the National League in 1996, 1997, and 2014.
