Suva invests in youth

The Suva Football Association has appointed former Nadi coach Babs Khan as its head coach for the 2020 season.

Association president Ritesh Pratap confirmed that Khan would take the charge of the Capital City side.

“Yes we have appointed Khan as our head coach for this season and we have confident in his caliber as he has proven his worth with Nadi,”said Pratap

“Khan will be assisted by former national and Suva defender Martino Nemani as technical advisor which will add more experience to the team.”

Pratap added that the association will not be recruiting high profile players as they have failed to deliver.

“We will be investing more on younger players particularly to further strengthen the team, “said Pratap

Suva has applied the transfer release of Nasinu defender Manasa Levaci, Lami and former Ba and Fiji U20 midfielder Ravnit Chand, Lami defender Kalisito Bonawai, former Ba and Rewa rep Kini Madidgi and former Lautoka and Nasinu striker Semi Matawalu.

The Vodafone Premier League is expected to kick start on February 1.
