Suva will face Rewa at ANZ Stadium this Sunday in what promises to be the highlight of the Vodafone Premier League 2020.
The Delta Tigers are currently on top of the points table with twelve points after playing five matches while the Capital City side are undefeated in the competition playing four matches and sit with eight points.
Rewa coach Marika Rodu says in terms of making a serious impact on the points table there is no other way for them but to beat Suva.
“If we lose to Suva they might overtake us and make our chances more difficult so on the second and third position Suva and Lautoka sit there and these two teams we have not played in the first round so for us to really make that impact in the competition or get a bigger gap on the points table its these two particular matches” said Rodu
Rodu said their focus was on these two remaining matches of first round.
“We want to secure top place in the first round so we are taking every match seriously,” said Rodu
The former national rep said the fans would expect a nail biting match this Sunday.
“As you all know for years Suva and Rewa have been arch rivals and whenever they meet its like explosion so I am sure we both have prepared well for the clash,” said Rodu
Suva president Ritesh Pratap said it would be a match to watch.
“We have prepared well to face Rewa for the past three weeks and the players know the task ahead and I am confident the fans will make their worth buying the tickets “said Pratap
The match kicks off at 3pm and ticket price remains $5 for adult and child under 10 is free.
