Super battles loom in coveted silverware figh

This year’s Courts Inter District Championship is going to be exciting says Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel.

This after the pools were drawn last Saturday at Courts Samabula Store in Suva.

Defending champions Labasa are drawn in Group B along with Digicel Premier League champions Rewa, Lautoka and Ba while host Suva leads Group A with Nadi, Nadroga and Navua.

“It is a very interesting and very balanced pool, no one will be able to predict the winners because all teams are good,” Patel said.

“Rewa have just won the Digicel Premier League title while Labasa won the Punjas BOG while Suva is the Digicel Fiji FACT champions,”

“It is going to be an exciting tournament as all teams have enough time to prepare,” said Patel.

“Courts IDC has always been unpredictable and teams have to prepare well if they want to win this tournament.

“The teams have to be well prepared, the fitness level is a key thing for every team and it’s a whole week tournament so they will need to be on form.

The Courts IDC will be held from 5-10 October at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
