The stage is all set for the 2019 Vodafone Fiji FA Awards Night to be held at Pullman Nadi Bay Resort this Saturday.
Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf said everything looked good as they prepare for the grand occasion.
“We have received so many nominations this year from the district and I am happy that the teams are showing interest in the annual event, “said Yusuf.
Yusuf confirmed that the nomination was closed now.
“The nomination for all the awards was officially closed on Saturday March 7.”
“Sixteen awards are being contested and the winner will be announced on Saturday,” said Yusuf
Yusuf said they would sort out the nominations and would hand it over to the panel of judges.
“We have already shortlisted the three nominees for each category. The judges will sit down to discuss and decide on the winner and the names will be enclosed in an envelope which then will be handed to the president on the awards night day.”
The categories of the awards are Media Personality of the Year, Coach of the Year, Women Coach of the Year, Fair Play Player of the Year, Referee of the Year, Junior Women Footballer of the Year, Team of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Women Footballer of the Year, Footballer of the Year (Male), Junior Footballer of the Year (Male), Administrator of the Year – Senior Division, Administrator of the Year – Premier Division, Goal of the Year, Popular Footballer of the Year, and Employee of the Year.
