Sponsorship boost for Ba, Lautoka

Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) with major sponsor Vodafone presented a sponsorship of $50,000 each to Ba and Lautoka during a press conference at the Tanoa Waterfront Hotel in Lautoka last Friday.

The two districts are not leaving any stones unturned as they prepare to represent Fiji at the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Champions League 2020.

Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel said more would be coming if the teams progress from the group stages.

“This initial sponsorship is for the group stage matches as Fiji FA and Vodafone have been giving out to the participating teams at the OFC Champions Leagues,” he said.

“More would be coming your way should you succeed in group stages and progress through to the knockout stages.”

Vodafone Fiji head of corporate enterprises Antonio Kitione said Vodafone Fiji Limited is grounded in its sociteal responsibilties.

“As a locally owned business, we thrive in improving the lives of our people.

“Our sponsorship in Football is across the board from grass roots or Primary School level all the way up to Senior National Teams.

“Inclusiveness is also key hence the participation of females in the girls and Senior Women’s competition.”

Lautoka is group B along with hosts Malampa Revivors (Vanuatu), Lae City FC (Papua New Guinea) and Henderson Eels (Solomon Islands).

Ba is in group D along with their group hosts AS Venus (Tahiti), Auckland City FC (New Zealand) and Lupe Ole Soaga SC (Samoa).
