Sky-blue Boys targets first win

The Security System Management Inc / Oceania Fiberglass PTE Ltd Tailevu Naitasiri FC has not engraved its name on the Fiji FACT trophy nor has featured in the final of the tournament.

This year’s Digicel Fiji FACT will see a much-improved Tailevu Naitasiri FC side with coach Tagi Vonolagi.

This was obvious in their last outing of the Digicel Fiji Premier League when they created a major upset with a 1-0 over Ba FC.

They will surely be out to prove critics wrong after escaping relegation from the best eight teams for the tournament.

Last year the Sky-blue Boys won the hearts of many football fans at Lawaqa Park with their performance in which they won 2-1 against Nasinu FC, drew 1-1 against Nadroga FC but unfortunately bowed out with a 0-1 defeat to Suva FC in its final group fixture.

Tagi has a huge task after getting the team this season but if he sets his game plan well, Tailevu Naitasiri will be heavy on other teams in its pool.

They are no strangers to challenges, with many young players in the squad.

Tailevu Naitasiri will be a team to reckon with at the 2023 Digicel Fiji FACT with players like goalkeeper Jason Rokovucake, defenders Sikeli Tuiloma, Asaeli Tuidau, Manasa Levaci,Abhishek Deo,Rusiate Qio, midfielders Carlos Liomasia, Altamish Khan, Stephan Kwaitee, Jone Naraba, Mohammed Naizal, Nischal Lal and Samuela Nasava, forwards France Catarogo, Mosese Nabose, Mohammed Rasasa, and Sairusi Qiolevu.

Players to watch: Mosese Nabose and Abhishek Deo
