The Digicel Fiji Bula Boys are gearing up for a crucial match in the OFC Men’s Nations Cup semi-final against Vanuatu, scheduled for Thursday.
Head Coach Rob Sherman acknowledges the challenge ahead.
“Vanuatu has an advantage with their home turf and fans, but we need to maintain our focus and get our strategies right to counter the challenges they pose,” said Sherman.
While realistic about the task’s difficulty, Sherman remains optimistic and emphasizes the team’s dedication.
“The boys are focused and excited to make everyone proud, and that is our strength going into the semis on Thursday.”
He acknowledges the significant support from fans back home, which serves as a motivating factor for the players.
The semi-final against Vanuatu will kick off at 4pm, preceded by the other semi-final where New Zealand will face Tahiti at noon. The winners of these matches will compete in the final, which is set to take place on Sunday at 4pm at the VFF Freshwater Stadium.
