Savusavu fans treat

The Fiji Football Association delegates led by chief executive Mohammed Yusuf, vice presidents Jitendra Reddy, Jiten Kumar and Girja Prasad held an open forum for the fans of Savusavu football last Friday in Savusavu.

Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf said it was great to see lots of people which showed football was not dead in the district.

“The reason we are here is basically Fiji FA need to help districts who are none compliance in terms of Fiji FA statues and this for mandatory provisions if the district doesn’t abide by the can be relegated to associate membership and that is why we are here and want to know and how we can assist.”Yusuf said

“In our statues its says every district must have regular club competitions and each club must have 16 licensed players registered and the Annual General Meeting to be held in the start of the season,”

Yusuf said Savusavu FA has failed to provide their AGM report till now.

“We are giving them time to do their AGM and provide their AGM and financial report.”

Fiji FA vice president Jitendra Reddy said it was sad to see Savusavu has not qualified for the Courts IDC.

“We want to see Savusavu back in where they were once in top level and this can only be done without the support of people of Savusavu,”

Savusavu FA president Tony Kabakoro said they had a lot of problems and thanked Fiji FA delegates for the meeting.

“We had a lot issues here in Savusavu FA especially in this Covid 19 pandemic which killed the momentum of football and we do apologies for the delay in everything, “said Kabakoro
