A successful trial for Digicel Futsal national team was held over the weekend at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
Head coach Jerry Sam he was happy to see the potential in players.
“We had a very successful trial with 27 players which were very tough to select the best,” said Sam
Sam said the tournament is getting closer and they will need to build a strong squad first for the OFC Invitation Tournament..
“Right now I’m just doing trials.”
“We had three trials already and it’s good to see the players that are chosen with the sort of futsal and football talent they bring.”
“I have seen some 11-a-side players making it into the futsal local competition which is really interesting.”
“From the trials over the weekend we have cut short the number to 20 who will march into the camp next month to prepare for the championship which will be played here in Fiji in September,” said Solomon national
