Fijian wonder-boy Roy Krishna has finally reached India last Saturday to join his club ATK Mohun Bagan for the 2020 Indian Super League.
Krishna who departed our shores on a commercial Air New Zealand flight on September 24 had to spend a mandatory two-week quarantine in New Zealand.
In his social media post Krishna said “It’s been over three weeks since I left my hometown. A crazy journey including numerous covid tests, delays in flights and quarantine.”
“I’m now finally on my way to India. First stop Delhi before I get to Goa where I will quarantine for two weeks again before I can take the pitch. Thankful for the journey so far and excited about what’s ahead,” wrote Krishna
The Labasa native after arriving in Goa wrote:
“Can’t officially start training yet but I’m happy to finally arrive in Goa. Two weeks of mandatory quarantine to go before I can get back to business.”
ATK Mohun Bagan is Krishna’s new club, after his old club, ATK, merged with another Indian club, Mohun Bagan.
