Rewa coach Marika Rodu has praised Nasinu and Navua for their gallant performance in the Vodafone Premier League this season.
Rodu after their 1-0 win against Nasinu said they would take result as it was important for them to maintain the lead in the competition.
“We knew Nasinu will be not a weak team and they have proved that after giving us a good fight,”
“We were lucky to score the goal today (Sunday) and win, “said Rodu
Rodu said his players lost concentration in the match.
“The boys did not played the way they used to play as they lost lot of possession and Nasinu gave us threat and enter our box but we were fortunate not to concede a goal.”
“But I understand the boys wanted to keep the 1-0 lead and they lost the momentum in the game, “said Rodu
“I have been saying Nasinu is not a weak team and not a workover and we can see what Navua did against Labasa and these two teams for me personally will be going to be the toughest game all the time because they come without holding anything back and give everything towards the game because they have nothing to lose,”
“Today (Sunday) I give respect to these two teams because they are growing game by game,” said former Rewa and national rep.
Rewa will face Nadi this Sunday at 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park while Nasinu will play Labasa at 1.30pm on Sunday at Subrail Park in Labasa.
