Rewa to appoint new coach

The Rewa football side will begin the 2020 season without a coach.

This has been confirmed by team President Nazeel Buksh.

Buksh said the side faced a few challenges in 2019 which the officials are trying to rectify this year.

“2019 had been a challenging year for us in terms of results and the coaching department. We had a alot of issues with a few things which we are trying to rectify,” he said.

He added that a new coach will be appointed soon.

“The fans can be rest assured that a new coach will be revealed soon. We are still in the process of finalising one.

Buksh added that some new players are expected to add firepower to the Delta Tigers in 2020.

“We have signed players like Patrick Joseph and Simione Tamanisau. There were a few positions we faced issues last season and bringing in these players will help.”

Rewa finished 7th in last year’s Vodafone Premier League and opens its campaign against Ba in the 1st round this weekend.

The Delta Tigers will host Ba this Sunday at 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori in the Vodafone Premier League fixture.
