Design Marine Services Rewa FC and Ram’s Cleaning Services/All Freight Logistics Suva FC are ready to show their best in the first leg of the OFC Champions League tonight at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
Rewa coach Marika Rodu said they have prepared well to battle Suva in the National Play-Off.
“We have really looked deeply into our performance against Suva in the Pillay Garments Champion vs Champion series we have mapped out weaknesses from there and there will be no excuse this time,” said Rodu
“We have been into our eight weeks of training and the boys are ready to battle tonight.
The former national rep said they were looking forward to another appearance at the OFC Champions League this year.
“We have been there last year and for consistency reasons, we need to be there again to perform better and definitely we are ready to take on Suva,” said Rodu
He urged all Rewa fans to remain positive.
“The boys have done hard work in training for the past two weeks and they will not disappoint their fans.
Suva coach Babs Khan said they have set their target for the OFC Champions League this year.
“We are ready and the morale in camp is high as the boys know what is expected and what our target is,” said Khan
“We have not left any stone unturned in our preparation as we know Rewa will be out to take revenge against us because they have not beaten Suva for the past three years,”
“We have set up our game plan because we know Rewa will come out strong but I am confident my boys will execute the game well tonight,”
Khan said the aim was to win the first match.
“We want to start with the win from the match tonight and urged all Suva fans to come out in numbers and support the boys and be our twelve player tonight,” said Khan
The first leg of the OFC Champions League will be played tonight (Thursday 23) at 7 pm at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva which will be hosted by Rewa while the second leg on Sunday at 3 pm will be played at the same venue hosted by Suva.
