The Rewa football side has moved its focus to the clash against Lautoka this weekend after a 1-0 loss to Suva in its opening match of the Digicel Premier League last Sunday.
Coach Rodick Singh said although he was disappointed with a loss on his debut as a coach, but he was confident the team would regroup against Lautoka.
“This is one of the games that I will remember as we move forward because it was my first loss as a senior team coach but I’d like to achieve more with this team.
“There are more games left but we will just go back, the boys will recover and we will meet this week and plan out the areas we need to improve,” said Singh
The former Rewa and Tailevu Naitasiri rep said he didn’t expected the loss against Suva.
“We need to work a lot this week. Lautoka is a good team with good coach so we anticipate a tough match.”
Singh said he had faith in his team.
“I know the boys will come out firing this weekend because it was a learning point for me and the team in our first match against Suva, “said Singh
“Our loss was a wakeup call for us and I am sure the boys will get back to business from this weekend,”
Rewa vs Lautoka match kicks off at 3pm this Sunday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
