REWA MAINTAINS LEAD IN DPL

The Extra Supermarket Rewa FC continues to dominate the Digicel Fiji Premier League, maintaining their lead in the points table ladder after the completion of round five last weekend.

Dubbed the Delta Tigers, Rewa remains the sole unbeaten team in the league, having played five matches thus far, winning four and drawing one. Their consistent performance has solidified their position at the top of the standings.

In their recent match against Navua FC at the Uprising Sports Center, Rewa secured another victory, much to the dismay of Navua fans. The game witnessed a dramatic conclusion with Tevita Warainivalu scoring a last-minute goal, stunning the opposition, and securing three crucial points for Rewa. This victory further strengthens their position as frontrunners in the league with 13 points.

Despite going down 1-5 to Lautoka FC, Nadi remains in the second position with 10 points with three wins, one draw and one defeat.

Last weekend, Lautoka surprised Nadi with a 5-1 win after going down to Labasa 1-2 in round five.

Zibraaz Sahib, Usman Omede, Muni Shivam, Saula Waqa, Sakaraia Naisua scored for the Blues while Eroni Matau netted for the Jetsetters.

The Blues have moved to fifth place with seven points after two wins, one draw and two losses.

The Men in Black have moved down to sixth place after Tomasi Tuicakau netted the lone goal in the 31st minute to give the Stallions crucial three points.

Extra Supermarket Labasa FC has moved up to fourth place from sixth position after a 2-1 win over Tailevu Naitasiri.

Rusiate Doidoi and Christopher Wasasala scored for the Babasiga Lions while France Catarogo netted for the Sky-blue colors.

Tailevu Naitasiri has moved down to ninth position.

Flick Suva FC has climbed to eighth position after a 2-1 win over Nasinu. Waisake Navunigasau and Bruce Hughes scored for the Capital City side to earn the much-needed three points.

Nasinu remains at the bottom of the points table and is yet to register a win.
