Rewa leads VPL race

The Rewa football side has now taken the lead as they move up on the Vodafone Premier League (VPL) table following a 3-1 victory over Labasa at Subrail Park on Saturday.

The Marika Rodu-coached side dominated the Babasiga Lions from the first whistle.

Impressive midfielder Samuela Kautoka scored a brace as Delta Tigers led 2-0 at the breather.

Patrick Joseph got the third goal from the penalty spot before Ratu Anare scoring the lone goal for Labasa.

Rewa, after playing four matches, now leads the points table with nine points ahead of Lautoka on the second spot with six points after two matches.

Nadi climbed up to the third place with six points, two points ahead of Suva on the fourth place.

Newcomers Navua is currently at the bottom of the table having one point after three matches.
