THE Rewa women’s football side kept its unbeaten run intact in the Digicel Women’s Super League beating Suva 1-0 in the round three at Uprising Sports Center in Pacific Harbour last Sunday.
The Usaia Tadu coached side defeated Tailevu Naitasiri 2-0 in its opening match and thrashed Nadroga 7-0 in round two.
The Inosi Cava coached Suva side is yet to register a win in the competition after going 0-2 down against Nadroga and Labasa with the same margin.
Despite the loss Cava said his team had improved.
“I think the girls have improved compared to our last two matches,” said Cava
“We lost to a better team but the girls really played well and gave their best in the game,”
The former Suva and national rep said they would take each match as it comes.
“We are taking each game as it comes and for sure will pick our game, “said Cava
His counterpart Tadu was pleased with the result but said there was a lot to be done.
“We are happy with the win but we need to work more with our finishing as we have missed so many goal scoring opportunities,” said Tadu
