Race on for top spot finish

The Vodafone Premier League is getting interesting as its gets closer to the completion of its first round of competition.

Rewa leads the point’s standings with 13 points from six matches while Lautoka is on second spot with 10 points from six matches.

Suva is the only unbeaten team in the competition after six games.But the capital city side is in fourth place at the moment after their nil-all draw with Rewa last Sunday.

Suva has played five games with two wins and three draws.

Other teams that have featured in five games include Nasinu and Nadi.

Ba is the only team with four games at the moment and they are third on the VPL table with nine points.

Labasa is on fifth spot with seven points after playing six matches while Nasinu is on sixth position with same points with Labasa but the Babasiqa Lions have better goal advantage.

Nadi is on seventh position after playing five matches with six points while Navua sit on the bottom of the points table with one point.

Meanwhile, Ba and Nadi will play two games this week. The two teams will meet at 6pm on Wednesday at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

On Saturday, Ba will host Labasa at the Fiji FA Academy ground at 3pm and Nadi will host Suva at Prince Charles Park in Nadu on Sunday at 3pm.

Two exciting matches will be played at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. The double header will see the Rewa take on Lautoka at 1pm while Nasinu will play Navua at 3pm.
