Progame revises curriculum

Children from the age of six to twelve years will enjoy a new program implemented by Fiji Football Association Just Play this year.

Fiji FA Just Play manager Lavenia Yalovi said there had been revised curriculum not only in Fiji but in the Pacific as whole.

“The new curriculum expands social focus from 4-8 pillars namely health, Wellness, Safeguarding, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Emergency Preparedness and Like Skills,”

“The program will target children in both school and community -based settings for a period of 4 years,” said Yalovi

Yalovi stated that the Just Play team in Fiji are looking forward to implement the new revised curriculum that would definitely put smiles on children’s face and hopefully the messages and values children’s learnt during fun activities will contribute and supports the broader development of their healthy lifestyle habits, which are more likely to be carried through to adulthood.

“The new programming design incorporates lesson learnt, documented feedback from programming teams, partners and stakeholders, that has helped to enhance programming components, systems and structures that will help OFC to deliver better outcomes for children and adolescents in the Pacific.”

“Fiji FA Just Play Programme through its financial partners financial partners namely the Australian Government, New Zealand Government, Football Federations of Australia, UEFA foundation for children, UNICEF and OFC will continue improving children’s lives in our communities through football, “said Yalovi
