The Digicel women’s football team is aiming for some international friendlies for its preparation for the OFC Women’s Nations Cup 2022.
Head Lisa Come says they are planning to tour Australia next month.
“I am with talks with some teams in Australia and hopefully we get an opportunity to play some of the clubs there,” said Cole
“So far the preparation is going well as we continue getting the southern, western and northern girls training together every week as our training program and we will march into camp this week for further preparation,
“We want to tour New South Wales and play some of the warm-up matches with the Philippine national team who will in Australia as well.”
“This will give our players more exposure and experience as well,” said former US coach.
The OFC Nations Cup is likely to be hosted here in July.
