The Ba Football Association has appointed former New Zealand national team head coach Ricki Herbert as their new coach.
He was at the Ratu Cakobau Park on Sunday watching the final leg of the 2019 Pillay Garments Champion vs Champion series between Ba and Labasa.
Herbert confirmed that he would start the role from February.
“I have just come across to watch the game today (Sunday) so I will start the role of February 13th and lead them to OFC Champions League,” said Herbert.

“The club is assembling players in the preseason which is a natural process and have recruited some foreign players and I am looking forward to work with them from February 13,”he said
As player Herbert has experience in the English football and also represented New Zealand at 1982 FIFA World Cup played in Spain. Ricki Herbert is a legend of New Zealand, being the last head coach to guide the national team to a FIFA World Cup in 2010.
