Navua ready for Lautoka clash

The Navua football side is ready for battle against a highly fancied Viti Water Flow Lautoka side in the Digicel Premier League clash on Sunday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Navua FA president Rajeev Prasad says the team is determined for a good start in the DPL.

“We have prepared well this season and are ready to take on Lautoka and our aim is winning the first match, “said Prasad

“The inclusion of some players from other districts has added the much-needed depth to the team, but it will all depend on the coach as to who will be named in the starting lineup this Sunday.”

Prasad said he was happy with the results in the pre-season friendlies.

“We had mixed results during our build-up matches, which has given us an opportunity to test our imports as well iron out our weaknesses, “said Prasad

The Navua businessman said the players were positive and focused on the task ahead.

“The moral is high in the camp and the players are looking forward for the much-anticipated match against the Blues,”

The Lautoka vs Navua match kicks off at 3 pm before which the official opening of the Digicel Premier League at 2.30 pm.
