Nasinu football side maintains its unbeaten run in the Digicel Senior League after seven rounds of competition.
The Giant Killers defeated Rakiarki 2-0 on Sunday at Fiji FA Academy in Vatuwaqa.
Solomon Islanders Jereman Manehanita and Nasvile Hite scored a goal each in the first half.
Nasinu coach Mira Sahib was happy with the win.
“I am so proud of the boys today (Sunday). They really played according to the game plan and hats off to them,”
“We knew Rakiraki will give us a tough game but we prepared well and got the result,” said Sahib
Nasinu sits in second place in the DSL points table with 17 points and will face leaders Tailevu Naitasiri this weekend.
Both teams are unbeaten in the competition. Tailevu Naitasiri defeated Tavua 1-0 at Penang High School Ground in Rakiraki on Sunday with a goal from captain Jone Senikibau.
In other matches, Northland Tailevu defeated Lami 5-1 at Ratu Cakobau Park Ground two.
