The Nasinu football side held Tailevu Naitasiri to a goalless draw on Saturday to maintain its lead in the Digicel Senior League 2021.
After three rounds, both Nasinu and Tailevu Naitasiri have registered seven points and equal goal difference, however, the giant-killers lead with a better goal forward.
Head coach Mira Sahib was satisfied with a draw in the top of the table away clash.
“I was satisfied with the performance by our team.
“We gave away unnecessary fouls and looked bit shaky when we transitioned in defending but overall we want to be more dominating when we have the ball and create more goal scoring chances in the upcoming matches,” Sahib said.
He said there were a few areas that needs improvement before they host Tavua FC this week.
“Creativity in the front third and transition both in attack and defense will be some areas we have to improve in upcoming games.
“The main thing is not to concede goals and tough matches like this we should be able to at least take away one point especially in away matches and try and get maximum points in home matches.
Sahib said his plans with Nasinu FC this season is to improve the players performance both individually and as a team.
“That’s what my area of focus is when I started preparation for the season and it will remain that way till the end of season.
“I would like to urge Nasinu fans to come in numbers to support the team.”
