The Nasinu football side is not letting a stone unturned to prepare a formidable team for the 2022 Digicel Premier League season.
Association president O’Neil Chand confirmed they had recruited some players for the season.
“Like every team we have also recruited some players but not the big names, “said Chand
“We are looking forward to the season as our aim this year is to develop youth players and we have full faith in them.”
Chand said he would have a mixture of some experience and youth players.
“Former Nasinu rep and Lami futsal rep Jashnit Vikash has shown his interest in making a return while former Lami and Navua striker Taniela Rakariva has also joined and they a two experienced recruits,” said Chand
“Our young stars that will be donning the blue and maroon jersey will be Michael Chan, Filipe Kaufuti and former national 17 rep Clearance Hussein who all are from Savusavu,”
“Former national U17 captain Sikeli Tovilo from Tavua, Ba youth reps Gaery Kubu, Jope Naivalu, Lorima Batirerega Junior are also shown their interest in joining us,” said Chand
Chand also confirmed that they had applied for the International Transfer Certificate of Vanuatu player who played for Malampa United in the Vanuatu League.
The Mira Sahib-coached side will face Labasa in the opening match of the DPL next Sunday at 1pm at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
