Digicel Kulas midfielder Cema Nasau was awarded OFC Women’s Nations Cup Best Player of the tournament.
The Labasa rep was given the golden ball award as Fiji settled for silver after going down -1-2 against Papua New Guinea in an entertaining final at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva last Saturday.
Nasau also scooped three awards for the Player of the Day during group stages and semi-finals and scored in every match Fiji played in the tournament.
With tears in her eyes, Cema said I would like to dedicate this win to my aunt and my dad Osea Nasoro who has been very supportive in her football career.
“I also like to dedicate this win to all the fans that came out in numbers and also those who watched us from home on TV,” said Nasau.
The Golden Boot was shared between Papua New Guinea’s Roman Padio and Meagan Gunemba together with Samoa’s Jayden Stewart who all scored five goals each.
The Golden Glove was given to Tahiti’s goalkeeper while Samoa claimed the Fair Play award.
