Former Ba, Dreketi, Nadroga, national under 20, under 23, and national goalkeeper Shaneel Naidu will feature for the Nasinu side this season after securing his transfer from Ba.
Association president O’Neil Chand said Naidu’s inclusion is a boost for the team.
“He brings a wealth t of experience and we are happy to sign him for this season.”
“Though he was out of football for a few months he is getting back to his shape, “said Chand
Chand added that they have signed some youth players for the season who are very talented.
“We have young, talented players, who will be donning blue and maroon jerseys and given the right mindset on the day, we will see wonders happening in the field, “said Chand
“We are happy to have the services of former national U17 rep Clearance Hussein, Michael Chan and Filipe Kaufuti from Savusavu,”
Chand confirmed they had included some youth players from Ba.
“Also joining us are former national U17 and Ba youth rep Sikeli Tovilo,Gaery Kubu, Lorima Batirerenga Jnr and Meli Dogalau,”
Chand said the players have gelled well with the other players.
“They have been training with us and they have adapted well our style of play and I am sure they will wonder as we progress in the competition,”
The Nasinu businessman is confident his side will do its best in the opener against Labasa.
“We know Labasa is an experienced team but we are ready to battle them, “said Chand
The traditional Giant Killers of Fiji Football will face Labasa in the opening match of the 2022 Digicel Premier League this Sunday at 12 midday.
