Nadroga tagged favourites to win

The Professional Valuations Nadroga football side will be coming with the favourites tag when they take on Bua FC in the second leg of the Vodafone Senior League final playoff at Lawaqa Park this weekend.

Following a 3-0 away victory in the first leg last weekend, the Stallions have made things easy for them ahead of their home match, however the job is not done yet.

Head coach Johnny Williams said it has been an eight-month journey they are coming to the end of and thanked God for the strength.

He said the boys have come to believe in themselves that they can do it from the scratch.

“I trust that this time next year, the boys will be in the Premier division,” he said.

“A team that can believe in themselves is a team that will succeed.

“I thank the National Coach, Mr. Fleming for coming and spending two days with us, giving them the final reality of premier soccer, which is not just about running it, but about the ball work and keeping the ball.

“I would like to thank the supporters for coming in numbers to support the team and encourage supporters at home that I expect to see them in numbers.”

Bua coach Roneel Ram will be focusing on mental preparation for the team.

“We will be keeping in mind the away goals that count for Nadroga, we have a mammoth task ahead.

“We will try and see how best we can regroup and come up with a counter plan so that we can do better come the second leg,” he said.
