Legends flock in to support Nadroga
The Nadroga football side had another reason to play for during the second leg of the Vodafone Senior League final playoff 2020 at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka last Saturday.
Making a presence and showing support for the mighty Stallions were their former players and Fiji FA legends John Rounds, Philip Rounds, Waisea Tale, Emosi Watkins, Archie Watkins and Radike Nawalu. Josateki Kurivitu, the former goalkeeper, also joined in.
Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf it was great to see the former players are still backing up the team with their support.
“It was a great moment for Nadroga to win the Vodafone Senior League and get promoted to the top tier in front of their own legends who had given so much to the team back then.
“I have also seen a few more district games where the former players are coming in to support their districts.
“It’s really a great sign and that gives assurance that these former players and legends are still having that district pride as they make their way out to give moral support to their teams.”
