The Vodafone Western Futsal League continued at the multipurpose court in Lautoka last Saturday.
Nadi once again put up an impressive performance as they registered a 5-2 win over Lautoka.
Tavua held Ba 4-4 in yet another thrilling encounter before getting a 5-3 victory over Nadroga.
Both Lautoka and Nadroga got a win by default over Rakiraki while the last match of the day between Ba and Nadi was called off due to unfavourable weather conditions in Lautoka.
Fiji FA futsal development officer Mira Sahib said getting positive response from the teams is definitely a good sign for futsal development in the country.
“We are now getting positive feedbacks from the teams as far as the futsal league in both western and southern division is concerned,” Sahib said.
“Like I said when we started the futsal league, we could see that a lot of players were not very much used to the game and laws of futsal but now we can see a lot of improvement shown because a lot of them are taking interest in futsal.
“We hope that this kind of positive attitude within the teams continues which would definitely help grow the game of futsal in the country.”
