Nadi hopes to defend turf

Coming into this year’s edition of the All in One Cakes & Restaurant Pacific Community Cup, the Nadi Football side will be aiming to perform its best in front of its home crowd.

Nadi fans are eagerly waiting to celebrate a major victory for years but this year if all goes on their side with the return of former mentor Kamal Swamy they could celebrate.

Swamy has been a lucky coach for the Jetsetters and surely he will come up with game plans to counter his opponents with the bunch of mixed and experienced players he has in his squad.

Solomon Islanders William Komasi and Jaygray Sipakana together with Nigerian import Uzoma Kelechukwu will boost the side during its campaign.

Nadi will rest its hopes on local players like William Valentine, Ame Votaniu  Ilmotama Jese Siotame Kubu, Napolioni Qasevakatini, and Rahul Krishna to name a few.

The Jetsetters, who are the most successful team in the Pacific Cup having won the title four times, are drawn in Group A with Ba, AUFFI All-Stars, and the USA All-Stars.

Nadi starts its campaign against Ba at 6.45 pm on Thursday, November 24, and faces AUFFI All Stars on Day Two at 6 pm while their final pool match will be against USA All Start on Saturday at 3.45 pm.
