Nadi focuses on IDC

A lot of expectation will be for the Nadi side come the 2020 Courts Inter District Championship after reaching the semi-finals of the 2020 Punjas Battle of the Giants under coach Kamal Swamy..

The performance in the Vodafone Premier was magical one and that all the Nadi fans would be hoping for their side to repeat.

The Jetsetters will definitely be aiming to break its eighteen year drought as the IDC trophy has been evading them since 2002.

Nadi last won the IDC in 2002 when they defeated Rewa 5-3 in penalty kicks at Govind Park in Ba.

Nadi will be banking on their goalkeeper Vererti Dickson who has been a savior for the Jetsetters with his courageous saves under the goal post.

The Jetsetter will see the return of former midfielder Rahul Krishna who will combine with veteran Avinesh Suwamy.

They have a mixture of youth and experience players with the likes of Ame Votaniu,William Valentine, Vuniuci Tikomaimereke, Sakaraia Naisua, Jeshal Kumar, Alfraz Ali, Christopher Kumar,Surjason Sami, Napolioni Qasevakatini and Rusaite Matererenga to name few.

Nadi have won the prestigious IDC for six times and have reached the final 18 times.

The Jetsetters start their campaign against minnows Ba at 4.30 pm on Tuesday October 6 and faces defending champions Labasa on Day Two at 7pm while their final pool match will be against minnows Navua on Thursday at 3pm.
