The Fiji FA McDonald’s All-Stars Development Camp, set to begin tomorrow, November 30, will bring together over 100 of Fiji’s most promising young football talents, aged 9 to 16, for intensive training and development.
Fiji FA’s Head of Talent Development, Sunil Kumar, emphasized the inclusivity and opportunity the camp provides, showcasing players from various tournaments and programs like the McDonald’s Regional League, McDonald’s IDC, Youth Leagues, Primary and Secondary School IDCs, Talent ID events, Development Centers, and Academy programs.
‘’Over 50 girls will camp at the Fiji FA Academy in Suva, while 60 boys will train in Ba from November 30 to December 4.
‘’The objective of the camp is to provide a “Best with Best” environment for participants to refine their skills under set development criteria,” said Kumar.
Kumar shared the exciting announcement of the Fiji Football Association Residential Academy Project, which is set to open in 2025 at the FFA Labasa Academy.
“From this camp, the top 16 to 20 players will secure spots in the Academy program, marking a historic step in Fiji football’s commitment to youth development.
“This initiative highlights Fiji FA’s dedication to nurturing future football stars by creating structured pathways for young talents to flourish,” Kumar said.
“The Residential Academy will provide a dedicated platform for promising players to grow, with access to specialized training and educational opportunities.”
‘’The McDonald’s All-Stars Development Camp is part of Fiji FA’s larger strategy to identify and nurture talent from a young age, creating pathways to elite competition both locally and internationally, Kumar added.
