Lautoka coach Ravinesh Kumar, after a poor performance by the side against Nasinu last weekend says, he doesn’t knows what is going wrong in the team.
“There’s something wrong either it’s me wrong, my training is wrong or there is some problem within our association with the players or something that is causing us this harm and causing this low performance of the team and the players as well.”
“I think this way if you ask me why this happening and why the players are not able to respond to me and I will say this thing the relationship is not working and I don’t know why because I know I’m giving respect to the players and the players are giving respect to me and on the game day this happens I don’t know.”
Kumar said he would go back and talk to the players and management and see what the players wanted.
“I will go and talk to the players and officials and see what is wrong and will try to correct and come back firing against Nadi in our match this weekend,”
He said all the teams in the competition were very good teams likewise Lautoka.
“Comparing Nasinu and Nadi both the teams have quality players as well as us and Nadi is on upper hand they played in for the third and fourth place play off at the Punjas BOG and they have good quality players likewise we also have good quality players but then those who wear that blue jersey they need to play for that blue jersey not for the money, I am sorry they need to play for pride not coming and getting the jersey and making their name,” said Kumar.
Lautoka drew with Nasinu 1-all in their Vodafone Premier League round eight clash at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori on Sunday
The Blues were trailing 1-0 with two minutes left to play when they were awarded a penalty in the full time mark which was converted by Zibraaz Sahib.
Solomon Islander Marlon Tahioa scored the goal for Nasinu in the 25th minute of play after receiving a pass from Nasoni Mekere from left flank which he chested and powered it past Lautoka defence and caugh goalkeeper stunned.
Nasinu Head Coach Tagi Vonolagi was impressed with his team’s performance.
“Just unlucky in the dying moment Lautoka managed to equalise but we had many chances we did not capitalise but it’s all in the game,”
“Lack of concentration in the defense caused us the penalty otherwise the boy’s really played well and I am impressed with the performance today (Sunday).
