The Lautoka football head coach Ravinesh Kumar is hoping for a positive outcome when they take on Suva in the Vodafone Premier League encounter at the ANZ Stadium this Sunday.

Despite losing 2-3 to Nadi last Sunday, Kumar said there was an improvement shown by the boys compared to the previous matches.

He said simple errors costed them the game against the Jetsetters.

“From what I said last week regarding the performance of the boys, there was an improvement shown by the boys.

“The simple errors made by some players costed us the game, I will not totally blame the goalkeeper but there are other infield players who made errors.

“Even if we had won the game, I would have said the same that the performance has improved,” he said.

Kumar said playing away from home and the concentration level playing in the heat are some of the other factors.

He, however, hopes to make in better against Suva this week.

“When I see the individual abilities of the players, sometimes it also happens as a luck and sometimes the concentration level of players, especially in this heat and then playing away from home.

“We will get better in our next game against Suva and we hope the results are more positive.

“The performance is good, so I hope to improve the performance again in the next game.”

The match kicks off at 3.00pm.
