Lautoka football will bank on its players at this year’s INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants Tournament in Nausori.
Acting Lautoka FA president Rakesh Kumar said they had known their fate now who they would meet in the Group Stages.
“We have known our fate who we will play in the group stages and that has given us ample time to put on our game plans,” Chand said
He said the pool was tough but would be exciting.
“As we see it is not an easy go for us because we are drawn with host Rewa and Vodafone Fiji FACT champions Nadi and we cannot underestimate Nasinu but we will prepare well for the tournament with our new set of home grown players,” said Chand.
Chand confirmed that the team was preparing under coach Anginesh Prasad.
“We have already started our preparation under the guidance of our former coach Anginesh Prasad who is doing his best to build a competitive with the set of new players,”
“We are not going to recruit players from other district as we have abundance of talents in Lautoka who were never given a chance to don the Blues jumper, “he said.
Chand urged Lautoka fans to keep patience and support the team.
“I urge the fans to keep supporting the team and have patience as we trying to make a very good and competitive team with our own players,”
Lautoka is drawn in Group B with host Rewa, Nasinu and neighbors Nadi during the INKK Mobile BOG to be played at Nausori’s Ratu Cakobau Park from 26-28 July.
