Lami football side is aiming a spot in the Premier division next year after an impressive performance in the Vodafone Senior League final play-offs in the weekend at Uprising Sports Complex in Navua.
Lami after going down 0-1 against Navua in the opening match a fortnight ago regrouped over the weekend and thrashed Northern champions Savusavu 6-0 and Dreketi 6-0.
Their biggest threat in the competition is Navua whom they lost 0-1.
Lami coach/player Deepak Chand said they had an objective to win both matches this weekend.
“After loss to Navua we rectified our mistakes and we had an objective to win both matches this weekend and finally with good goal average, “said Chand
“We taking each game at a time and hopefully we maintain this momentum and come out firing in the next round.”
Chand said they would not take second round of matches lightly.
“We are not taking the second round matches lightly and we will prepare ourselves accordingly and for sure we will come out firing in the remaining matches.”
Lami will travel to North this weekend where they will play host Dreketi on Saturday at 3pm and Savusavu on Sunday at same time. Both matches will be played at Muanidevu Primary School Grounds in Dreketi.
