Football entertainers 4R Electric Labasa side are once again favorites to win the 2022 Digicel Fiji FACT title after breaking all odds to book a spot in the semi-finals of the 2022 Digicel Fiji FACT.
It has been six years, the Babasiqa Lions have not lifted the Fiji FACT trophy. The last they won the tournament was in 2015 beating Rewa 2-0 in the final at Prince Charles Park in Nadi. They made it into the final in 2018 but were defeated by host Rewa 3-5 in penalty kicks.
After a poor performance in the Digicel Premier League this season they have proved critics wrong after an impressive performance against the Delta Tigers in their 1-0 win in the opener, 2-1 win against Navua, and edged Nadi 2-0 despite losing to Lautoka 2-0.
Labasa has played in eight Fiji FCAT finals and won four titles.
Ardent fans will be expecting a win, and there will be no shortage of support for them in Sigatoka after the win.
The Lions’ fast-paced brand of football will be key for them in the clash against the Men-in Balck.
Labasa and Ba will feature in the first semi-final at 2.30 pm on Saturday.
