Football fans are in for a thrilling finale tomorrow as Extra Supermarket Labasa FC take on Ajay Trading Rewa FC in the grand final of the 2025 BiC Fiji FACT at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
Labasa FC booked their spot in the final with a hard-fought 1-0 win over defending champions Paradise Seafood Supplies Lautoka FC in the first semi-final. The decisive goal came from Christopher Wasasala, who converted from the penalty spot. However, the Babasiga Lions will be without their star forward in the final after he received a red card in the second half.
In the second semi-final, Ajay Trading Rewa FC edged out hosts Stratum Construction Suva FC with a 1-0 victory, courtesy of a well-placed header by Josaia Sela in the first half.
This will be the fourth Fiji FACT final meeting between Labasa and Rewa. History slightly favors Rewa, who have won two out of the previous three finals against Labasa.
In 2011, Rewa defeated Labasa 1-0 in Lautoka, and Labasa struck back in 2015, claiming a 2-0 victory.
Their most recent Fiji FACT final clash was also in 2015, where Rewa triumphed 5-3 on penalties at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori after a 0-0 draw in regulation time.
The final kicks off at 3 pm.
