Firstly I would like to wish all the football stakeholders and fans a happy new year.
2020 will be a challenging year for the Babasiqa Lions Labasa side after coming off a successful 2019 season. Labasa last year won the INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants Tournament and Courts Inter District Championship.
Hopes no doubt will be high from the Labasa fans of carrying the same success into the new season. All eyes will on Labasa as the side participates in the 2020 Pillay Garments Champion vs Champion series.
The Labasa FA management, players and officials are looking forward to a winning start to the season but it won’t be an easy task as we face the top district of Fiji.
Labasa has full respect for Ba. We cannot afford to underestimate them but at the end of the day we are counting ourselves as one of the contenders for the first major title of the season.
Like any other team Labasa has been preparing to win and will be out in full force to stamp our mark in 2020.
I would like to request the die-hard Labasa fans to come out in numbers to support the Babasiqa Lions in Lautoka and Nausori.
On behalf of Labasa FA I would like to congratulate Fiji Football Association for organizing yet another historic event which no doubt will further assist in the development and promotion of football in Fiji.
