The Rewa football side is hopeful to improve from where it left off last week.
The FoodCity side is preparing to to face Labasa in the Vodafone Premier League encounter at Ratu Cakobau Park this Sunday.
Head coach Marika Rodu said they are not taking Labasa as per their current performance, instead he saw the Babasiga Lions as a threat to their chances of winning the league title.
“Every game is tough and getting tougher so we have made a point that we need to improve our defensive work as a team and as an individual which was showed in our game last week.
“We are taking each game as a final because the points difference on the table is not that much so we will not take Labasa according to their current performance but we will see them as a threat to our chances of winning the national league.
“So we will take this game as a final and very seriously,” Rodu said.
Labasa Football Association president Rayaz Khan said facing the most consistent team in front of their home fans will never be easy.
“We are preparing well,” he said.
“We know Rewa is really tough and the most consistent team this season. Playing against them in front of their home fans will never be easy.
“So definitely a tough match coming up for us this week.”
The match kicks off at 3pm.
