Khan calls for support

VR Builders Tavua FC coach Mohammed Asif Khan is optimistic his side will win the second leg of the Digicel Senior League playoff against Seaqaqa this Sunday.

“We have learned a lot from our loss in the first leg,” said Khan

“We will work on our weaknesses this week and I am sure we will regroup and register the maximum points to be back in the top division,”

Khan said they played the first leg without some of his key players.

“Five of my key players were not available for the first leg but for sure they will be back to boost us this weekend,”

“The boys know what is expected from them in the second leg and for sure they will give their best in the final leg,”

“Our aim remains and that is to be back playing with top guns again,”

He urged Tavua fans to have faith in the team.

“I on behalf of the players and officials urge all Tavua fans to come out in numbers and support the boys in their campaign,” said Khan

Tavua and Seaqaqa last played in the playoff in 2017 in which the first leg ended in a 1-1 draw and Tavua defeated Seaqaqa 3-1 in the second leg.

The match will kick off at 3 pm at a venue yet to be confirmed.
