Kasavu on a mission

Defending champions, Rewa’s Kasavu FC aims for a back-to-back Digicel National Club Championship title.

Club captain Setareki Hughes says they are ready for the southern zone playoff.

“We have started our preparation and looking forward to the play-off this weekend,” said Hughes

“We had a tough battle this year in the Rewa Regional Club League and we understand it will be not an easy run in the playoffs.

“We will not underestimate any team but will take each game as its comes,”

Hughes says it’s going to be tough competition.

“We know the other teams are champions from their respective districts and they will all come out well prepared which will make the competition tough and exciting.

“To achieve our aim we will have to first top the playoff,” said national rep

Kasavu FC created history last year when it won the NCC title for the first time in its clubs’ 76 years history.

They defeated Greenstar FC of Nadroga 3-0 in the final at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
